Imaging Center
At our Tampa dental office, we prioritize precision and advanced technology to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients. Our dental imaging services, featuring the Planmeca ProMax® 3D Classic machine, provide unparalleled clarity for comprehensive diagnostics and treatment planning. This specific machine is designed for full arch 3D imaging, which means we can obtain a crystal-clear view of both the mandible (lower jaw) and maxilla (fixed upper jaw bone).

Planmeca ProMax® 3D Classic Features
We’re very fortunate to have this refined machine in our practice as it allows our entire team to capture detailed digital images that otherwise would not be possible with traditional methods. For example, the Planmeca ProMax 3D Classic offers an exclusive extended volume diameter size which translates to being able to see the full dentition (either lower or upper jaw) in just one scan.
Patient movement during an X-ray is also remedied with the Planmeca ProMax 3D Classic. This machine gets around the issue affecting image quality by using the Planmeca Calm® movement correction algorithm to remove that distortion from CBCT scan images every time. Of course, the detail provided with each use is available in extremely high resolution which is great for examining very small features of the mouth.
Why Dental Imaging Matters
A critical component of modern dentistry, dental imaging plays a pivotal role in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning. With advanced imaging technologies like the Planmeca ProMax 3D Classic, our Tampa dentist can know when it’s appropriate to recommend procedures like dental implant surgery, a root canal, or tooth extraction.
Precise visualization methods such as these also allow for early detection of issues such as cavities, bone loss, and infections that might not be visible during a routine examination, ensuring better outcomes and improved patient satisfaction. Ultimately, dental imaging is indispensable for maintaining oral health, preventing potential complications, and providing patients with the highest quality of care.
