Meet Our Dentist
Dr. Ernesto Guerra
Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, my parents instilled in me the value of education, hard work, and enjoying life. When I wasn’t working or studying, I sailed the Caribbean waters professionally for 12 years and in 1996, as I watched my older brother perform dentistry in our town, I developed an insatiable curiosity about the world of dental care. I then worked as a dentist for 6 years in my home country, before electing to complete a dental residency in Puerto Rico.
In addition to completing my residency in Puerto Rico, I married my amazing wife, Laura and we moved to Gainesville, Florida, where I worked as an assistant professor at the University of Florida. For the following 9 years, I practiced as an associate dentist at a large, busy office in town, building relationships with the community through innovative, functional, and compassionate dentistry.
I have since moved to Tampa Bay to open my own practice—Imagine Dental. I wanted a practice where we wouldn’t be controlled by the confines of big insurance companies, but instead would be able to form lasting bonds with our patients through education and comprehensive . My goal is to spend as much time as needed with each patient and create a “One Step at a Time” approach, allowing everyone to achieve their dental health goals at their own pace. Above all else, I’m committed to innovative healthcare that is affordable, transparent, and comprehensive as we’ll consider the human body as a whole when pursuing diagnostics and treatment planning.
